The official notification of SBI PO 2018 is expected to be released in the month of February and the exam will be most likely conducted in the month of April. This gives you ample time to prepare for this exam if you start now, and you can crack this exam with ease, provided you follow a proper study plan and the correct approach for the same. Now, the important question is, how do you start your exam preparation.
- First and foremost, go through the exam pattern and syllabus of SBI PO Exam for Prelims as well as Mains exam. Yes, you should focus more on the prelims phase in the beginning, but since the time period between the prelims and mains exam of SBI PO is not too large, it would be better to keep preparing for the mains exam side-by-side.
- Now, once you are done with the exam pattern and syllabus, work on strengthening your basics. For this, you can go through the study notes of the different topics of the Quant, Reasoning and English section. This will help you understand the proper technique to approach them in the exam. However, just reading the notes is not sufficient. Attempt quizzes/ questions based on the topics that you study to inspect how much you actually understood. Make sure that you revise the topics on a regular basis.
- After your conceptual clarity, you move on to the most important phase of your exam preparation: PRACTICE. This is crucial to scoring good marks in the exam. A proper practice not only helps you understand the section-wise topics better but also helps you strengthen your accuracy and speed for the exam. So, devote at least 2-3 hours daily to justify the practice of questions.
- You can also refer the previous year question paper side-by-side and so that you can examine the level of the prelims and prepare for the prelims accordingly and get ready even for the worst conditions.
