Booklist for SSC CGL | CHSL | CPO & OTHER SSC EXAMS

There are thousands of books available in market. We have compiled a list of books which should be bought for reference while preparing for SSC CHSL or any other SSC exam. The best part about following list is that we haven't given a large booklist as other websites do.
REASONING : As far as SSC exams are concerned, there is no need of anybook for reasoning.Just Practice them from different sources like Previous year question papers, different websites ,mocks, etc would be enough. However if you think that you really need a book them you can refer Reasoning book by Arihant Publications.

This section is actually the soul of SSC exams where a wide range of questions can be asked both from Arithmetic as well as algebra. You can refer following books.

1) NCERT of 8th ,9th and 10th Mathematics (Skip if concepts are cleared )
2) Study notes by Rakesh Yadav Publications .It will help in learning new techniques along with shortcuts. It is a must have book.
3) 7300+ by Rakesh Yadav .This book contains a wide range of questions of different level and of different types. You can skip this book but then you have to practice lot of questions from anyother source.

My advice : For beginners , don't jump to Ncert first, try to understand Study notes by Rakesh Yadav and if you are getting concepts without any problem then there will be no need to refer NCERT's .Try this ,it will save you Precious time.

    General Awareness :
Syllabus of this section is infinite .You can refer following book.
a) Lucent General awareness Or
b) Arihant GS
Note : Choose only one and remember Revision is the Key here. Also Don't invest much time here as syllabus is infinite and marks are same .So try to maintain cost benefit ratio.

English : The level of English asked in SSC exams is basically aims at checking vocabulary. You have to learn idioms, synonyms, antonyms ,one word substitution ,etc.
Refer Plinth to Paramount by Neetu Singh for English Section.
